Welcome to our website !

Hi birdies, how is your week going?

On Saturday we headed to the mall, we were on the search of some bikini for the summer but well, we ended buying lots of top crops ! Not guilty, I'm starting to really like how they fit me (灬ºωº灬). Hitting the gym and also doing kickboxing pays off!

This season it's the season for all kind of top crops. We loved the white ones so I took some of them home. But none that was just a cut shirt, some really feminine and detailed.

But first, our lunch spot. Since the mall it's really close to San Jose, we choose a restaurant from there. It's called "The Table" as their website says "Our cuisine is contemporary American, paying tribute to the people and cultures that call this valley home." We got Chilaquiles and Corned beef and Hash.

Chilaquilles. Tastes as good as it looks.

AEROPOSTALE

This shop is amazing when they have deals. We found the store at nearly 70% off and I already have a pink fluffly sweater from this brand and for the price the quality is pretty good. Got some summer sweaters from here. The pink one is a super bright neon color. The whale one is a really cute top crop, super light and the detail of the whale I think is super cute. Also the socks! I was searching those kind of thin socks to wear with the jelly sandals and they look really cute together.⁽(◍˃̵͈̑ᴗ˂̵͈̑)

Oh, and the glasses was a gift from the store, they feel really cheap but at least they are pretty dark.

BRANDY MELVILLE

This is a really cute brand. Their designs are really simple and they just offer one size for everything. All their clothes are basically dark colored or dark red. They all have a really tumblr touch.  I wasn't really sure about the grey one, since it's really really thick - wool sweater feeling- but once I tried it on it looked really cool. The black one looks really nice under a white shirt, where you can see it underneath. The only "bad"thing is that the head hole for the grey one is super small and it gets really tight in the neck area. ヾ(๑ ³ㅿ³)ノ

HOLLISTER and  ABERCROMBIE&FITCH

The one on the left is from Hollister. We saw exactly that one being worn by a mall employee and it was love at first sight for both of us. We found it at Hollister and they were making a crazy sale. It's pretty transparent and really thin. The other two are from Abercrombie&Fitch. You can see in the last post how the upper one looks! It has an opened back the one you tie and it feels super feminine and flattering. The bottom one it's elastic and it covers way more, also really cute! ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

I will be showing in future posts or in Instagram how the clothes look! They are all perfect for summer and I'm pretty excited to wear them all! ⸂⸂⸜(രᴗര๑)⸝⸃⸃

Hi ! How have you been? I took the toefl exam this Saturday, hope I did well!

On Sunday we went to spend some time at the Cherry Blossom Festival, I've never been to one and I expected a lot, but I don't know if it was because we got there late or what but it was pretty disappointing. We kept looking at the stands but non of them had nothing related to japan but the one that sold koi fishes, bonsais and some food. It was still funny to be there.

The best part for me, was that we could pet some snakes! I do love snakes! It was like a dream for me, I never got the chance to touch or have one on, so I didn't doubt at all.  I imagined that they might feel bumpy - crocodile like - and sticky, but it was incredible soft and smooth.

My outfit
Shirt: Aberchrombie & Fitch
Skirt: Banana Republic
Shoes: Shieks
Socks: Aeropostale - I ended wearing the blue ones! -

After the festival we headed to his mom's house, she was doing Jiaozi and we went to help! She cooks them incredible yummy, this time she added mushrooms to the filling, they taste even better! Then I helped to roll, cut and flatten the dough and her mom makes it look really easy, after trying to flat some dough into a round shape I kind of gave up, non of them was round!

Guess which one is the one I first did?
I wished I could give you the recipe but we did just assemble everything together and they seem quite difficult to make even if it looks easy. I'm always surprised that at the end there's about 100 Jiaozis in total. Amazing food if you have a lot of guests!

See you (´•͈ुω•͈ू`)

These days in California have been really warm. It feels like summer is nearly here.  I usually go to have lunch with my SO at noon. That means I have to walk about 15 minutes a day - 20 if I'm too lazy or I get traffic lights - under the sun. Even though you might feel a little bit of wind or cold you'll end up sweating half way there, so better wearing fresh and light clothes and sunblock!  (-﹏-。)

I did play a little bit with a pair of jean shorts I just bought. They are really versatile and easy to mix with all kind of clothing and different colors.  (୨୧ ❛ᴗ❛)✧

The first coordinate it's a little bit more sweet since I added the loose pink polka-dot shirt and the big ribbon necklace. The second one looks more mature since it's a fitted shirt and the pattern is perfect for a navy look.

My new Sailor Moon necklace ! Doesn't it look cute? I love it!

Shirt: Okaysi
Shorts: S.O.N.G
Shoes: Stradivarius
Necklace: Hot Topic

 Shirt: Stradivarius
Shorts: S.O.N.G
Jacket : Eyeshadow
Necklace: Stradivarius

My favorite It's the second one ! I really like navy looking outfits and everything that has blue and white stripes. My closet in Spain is filled with stripe clothes ಥ‿ಥ Also the gold necklace gives it a more mature looking that's contrasted with the youth look of the fringed kimono. What do you think about them ?

This weekend I'll take the TOEFL exam, wish me luck! I just need a 61/120, it doesn't seems that difficult but we'll see ! And next there's the Cherry Blossom Festival at a park really close to here! We'll go take a look! I'll tell you show it goes!

Hi ! ꒰⑅•ᴗ•⑅꒱

Tomato egg or 蕃茄炒蛋  is a humble but delicious dish. It's home style Chinese recipe therefore it's easy to do and just using few ingredients that everyone has in their kitchen.  Get ready to cook a really tasty dish in just few minutes! ٩(•̤̀ᵕ•̤́๑)ᵒᵏᵎᵎᵎᵎ

  •  Egg
  • Tomato
  • Taiwanese noodles
  • Salt
  • Soy sauce
  • Honey

First we cut the tomatoes in eight pieces each. For two people we used six tomatoes.

Break and mix the eggs. Throw them on a non -sticky pan. Stir until the egg is cooked.

Prepare a big pot with water and bring it to boil.

Mix the tomatoes, egg and add a little bit of honey. Stir.

Add the noodles to the boiling water and cook for four minutes aprox.

Add soy sauce to the egg and tomato mix and and stir. And it's done!

As an extra we cooked Chinese sausages. They look like butcher's sausages but they taste sweet ! How to cook them? Just let them boil for 15 minutes ! Don't get confuse since the taste is really different !

Hope you enjoyed this recipe and you'll try it at home! (๑•͈ᴗ•͈)

Moving to the most further country and state I could ever think of, adding that the culture and customs of my SO are completely different to mine, this made everything a little bit more exciting and also, difficult.

There's a list of the most noticeable changes I've felt;

  • You don't go anywhere without a car.  This suburb and I guess all the USA was made for riding cars. You won't find anyone waking on the streets. No one walks to their job. Are you going to high school or even to the theater?  You need a car.
The roads in this city have approx 4 lanes each side. Parking lots are an extended thing, they are huge and placed everywhere. There are no roundabouts, not even one.
The good thing compared to Spain is that everyone respects the traffic lights, and for a simple reason; skip and you'll have 100% possibilities to get smashed  by a car. ヾ( •́д•̀ ;)ノ Also no one is allowed to stop on the road, not even inside towns, this and picking people is completely forbidden. Roads are for driving fast to home not for stopping.

  •  The fridge is now filled with Asian leftovers.  Boxes of pig ears, tendon with peanuts, Taiwanese rice with beef, red bean pancakes, kimchi rice,  Korean seafood pancake, baozi and zongzi from 99 Ranch, frozen mochi ice cream, all kinds of Indian curry and the list goes on. Since this weekend we celebrate his birthday with his parents more dim sum left overs will come, I'm sure (∗॔꒪⺫ॢ꒪)

  • «Take your shoes off!»  I'm not sure if this is because of the wooden floors or because It's how people do it here. But even in his parents house, our apartment or friend's house no outdoor shoes are allowed inside. Period.  They will always offer you slippers to walk inside, each house usually has more than one pair or size available.

  • California is the state with the more Asian population Nothing wrong about it, since I have use of memory  I liked Asian culture, their food, felt curiosity for their culture and got fascinated by their pop culture. And the difference is overwhelming. For instance, where I live there's luckily 2 "Chinese" restaurants and I never got to try real Asian cuisine until I came here.  Here you can get to try all kind of Asian food and all kind of stores with goods you could think about it. And that's a thing I always wanted to try, eat different foods, go to the famous Daiso or those stores with huge rilakuma stuffed animals ꒰⑅ᵕ༚ᵕ꒱˖♡

  • Swiping credit cards, taxes and tips.  This is the most stupid thing ever, I swear. The difference is that in Spain you have to give the shop assistant the credit card, they insert it and unless you have to enter your secret code you don't really do anything whereas in the USA you have to be the one who swipes the card.  Sometimes I just stood there waiting for them to ask my credit card, or give it to the shop assistant while getting some weird looks.  Taxes, your new best friend. All the prices here for food, clothing etc don't have the tax added. For example; see a nice shirt for 9$, you only have 10$ and think "oh, I got the exact money!". Nope, after they add the taxes you won't have enough.  Tiping is now my new enemy,  I never had to tip anyone, even at a restaurant, you just pay the food an leave, if you want to tip that's awesome for them but is not obligatory like in the USA.  If you tip in Spain it might be that euro coin you don't want or few cents if the price is close to a round number, but never a 15% - 20% of the price. I still think it's crazy. ( 」。╹o╹。)」

Those are some of the changes I felt while living here, I'm sure there are more I can't think about them now. I'll might add If I can think about a good one.

Hi people! How are you guys doing  today? Here's such an amazing sunny day, I can't wait to go swim!

Today I' ll show you two pair of shoes I bought here. I came without summer shoes since the ones I have are old. So, I headed to the mall searching for nice summer shoes but without being super expensive.  After checking some stores I found "Shiekh" honestly I thought I wouldn't find anything since it looks like a basketball shoe store, but they also sell women shoes.

The shop assistants told me that there was a deal " Buy one sandal and get another one for just 5$". That was my opportunity! After looking at the few sandals they had I decided for a german sandals and a jelly wedge sandals.

It looks like the German sandals are trendy nowadays thanks to the brand "Birkenstock". While I was checking shoes in the mall I already saw them in few stores.  When I was little and over few years I already owned a few pairs of this style of sandals, they are awesomely comfortable and if they have a nice design they can fit with a lot of looks.  And for the jelly ones, well, they were silver and I wanted one pair of this style for so long.

I got the white pair since it was cheaper than the rest of colors and it fits with everything. And here it stared the "chaos" at the store.  Making my math in mind, both shoes would have been around 30$ with taxes. When I went to pay the receipt said "48$". What.  I checked it again and the white sandal's price was more expensive.  After telling them that the price was wrong and they telling me that that was the price, I went to grab the sandal and show them that the price was wrong. The sticker in the sandal showed 22$ instead of the 27$ they were making me pay.

They looked at the shoe box, and it seemed that the original price of the white sandal was 40$.  They looked extra confused. The good thing is that this already happened to me before and they have to apply the cheaper one, so I was pretty calm. And that's what happened, I got both sandals for 30$.   I have to say that the shop assistants were always super kind and understanding, we clarified everything in a friendly mood.  I would totally go back.

I still haven wore the jelly sandals since every time I leave I have to walk a lot and those are not shoes for walking farther distances. And also,  they are made of plastic. I have to figure out how to wear them.

Last Tuesday was my SO birthday! When I met him he was two years younger, time passes so fast ! It's amazing that last year we couldn't celebrate our birthdays together but this one we are able to!  Doesn't it make it even more special?  We decided to have a light lunch since we were going to have Korean BBQ at night. After waking up and I gave him the presents, nothing really fancy but useful!

In the evening, both hungry, headed to " Tobang" - yes, I thought the same - it seems to be a really tasty place and famous, and effectively, there was a line to enter. On a Tuesday night. Line. I don't want to know what happens on weekends.

We got a Family 1 menu with 2 choices of meat, kimchi stew, kimchi rice a seafood pancake and a dish of deokkbokki! And this is all supposed to be for two people, but it's a lot of food.
L to R: Radish, kimchi, seasoned bean sprouts, spicy stir fried tofu,  japchae, steamed egg, Rice wrappers, sauteéd sea plant, braised potatoes (Gamja jorim), Juipo (fish jerky) .

Chadolbaegi (Grilled beef brisket)

 Ddeokkbokki

And for drink, to the health of him, we got yogurt soju. What I think it was those Korean yogurts mixed with soju. I totally recommend it. It's super sweet and tastes like liquid yogurt.

Lastly we went to Yogurtland. You can choose any flavor and quantity of frozen yogurt and all the toppings you want. You just pay how much it weights.

That's all! Hope you liked it!
